Introducing new employees to the Commonwealth Community Care healthcare model and increasing disability knowledge and competance is central to our robust introductory training program and ongoing clinician education.
Training at CCC is an individually tailored experience that includes an overview of the organization, mission, model, and history of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the principals of independent living. Clinicians are introduced to the practice with one-on-one shadowing with NPs, PAs, MDs, social workers, behavioral health specialists, PT/OT equipment specialists, and inpatient practitioners. You’ll attend specialty lectures and discussions, participate in case review, and receive training in EMR and systems. Individual study to advance skills is supported.
After a period of shadowing followed by co-management of a small caseload, clinicians will join a team for continued peer support as they gradually build to a full caseload.
